Key Aveda Shampoos for Fine Hair

Rosemary Mint Purifying Shampoo

The Rosemary Mint Purifying Shampoo is designed to gently clarify normal to oily hair, leaving it feeling squeaky clean, reset, and naturally shiny. This mint shampoo is ideal for fine to medium hair types. It’s also available at Nordstrom, Target, and QVC.

Key Features:

  • Clarifying Action: Clarifies with care using micelles to remove buildup and impurities. This shampoo is like pressing a re-set button on your hair. It gets rid of any junk and buildup that’s weighing it down.

  • Shine Boost: White vinegar helps purify and boost shine.

Usage:

The Rosemary Mint Purifying shampoo once or twice a week at most. Since I clarify my hair with this, I then go in afterward with the Botanical Repair shampoo (followed by conditioner). Use this 1-2x per week, depending on if I’ve used a bunch of hair spray or dry shampoo or maybe worked out a lot.

Aveda Cherry Almond Softening shampoo

This is the shampoo that for me seems to tame the most flyaways since it smooths your hair cuticles. The formula doesn’t feel heavy on your hair, but be sure not to overuse the product! A little dollop goes a long way. Like other Aveda shampoos, this one is 97% naturally derived. It’s good to use for all hair types, but especially for long hair. The scent is more fruity!

Botanical Repair Strengthening shampoo

This shampoo makes my hair feel healthy. Now, I don’t have overly damaged hair. But, having recently had a baby I’ve got all sort of hormone changes (and spit up) going on. This removes build-up and excess sebum that may be making your hair look oily (like me). The scent is light with a floral tone to it. The formula is also also silicone-free and plant-based. This Aveda shampoo works for all hair types.
