For those seeking efficient and versatile hairstyling tools, the Babyliss blow dryer comb emerges as a compelling option. This article delves into a comprehensive review of Babyliss blow dryer combs, exploring their features, performance, and overall value.
In today's fast-paced world, multi-functional hair tools are gaining immense popularity. Babyliss, a respected brand in both professional salons and home styling, offers a range of tools, including hot brushes and curling wands, designed to simplify the hairstyling process. Several multi-hairstyling hot tools have been popping up lately, and Babyliss's latest drop has four interchangeable styling attachments, including a hair-drying attachment head, a smoothing brush, a straightening brush and an oval-shaped round brush to help create lots of different looks. These are designed to be used on damp hair, making them ideal for styling after washing your hair.
The Babyliss Hydro Fusion 4-in-1 Hair Dryer Brush is designed to be used on damp hair, making them ideal for styling after washing your hair. This tool combines four functions into one device, aiming to streamline the hair-drying and styling routine.
The Babyliss Hydro Fusion 4-in-1 Hair Dryer Brush utilizes Advanced Plasma Technology, combining positive and negative ions to hydrate hair and reduce frizz during the drying process. I think having four styling attachments for £80 is pretty good value.
After I spritzed through a heat-protecting spray, I used the hair drying attachment to dry my damp hair to around 80% dry. I then went through with the smoothing brush which left my hair smooth, tangle-free, and ready for styling. I sectioned my hair through the middle to make styling easier-this also allows you to get right into the root of the hair. I used the highest heat setting on my hair, as it's thicker and generally needs more heat. If you have fine or very damaged hair, I'd opt for the lower heat option. I'll admit that it took a few tries to get the hang of how to use this attachment best. The round brush is large, so while it is tempting to use larger sections of hair, I'd recommend using smaller sections at first to avoid any tangles, and I also found that this created longer-lasting curls anyway. I got the best results by running the brush through my hair and twirling it at the end, before releasing the hair and repeating the process another two times. Then, I twirled the brush all the way up to the roots, holding for 10 seconds, before flicking the switch to the cooling setting to set my hair into place.

I found that the cooling button takes a while to really cool down and set the hair (the ceramic base of the brush gets very hot), so, I preferred to leave the brush in place for a few extra seconds while the device is fully switched off so it could cool down fully. One thing I will say is that this worked much better on the shorter layers at the front of my hair. If you have really long and heavy hair without layers, you may find that your curls might fall out more quickly. For that reason, I'd definitely recommend it for those with shorter hair who want to create shape and volume in their hair through the lengths and the roots, or those with layers through their hair. If you do have long hair with some layers, this will still work for you if you want to add some subtle shape and bounce through your lengths. This is the final result from styling my hair with the dryer, smoothing brush and finishing with the oval round brush. While it did take me around 50 minutes from start to finish, I found it did a great job at giving my hair some bounce and shape through my layers. The longer sections of my hair did fall flat, so I went back in with the round brush to just add some flicks at the ends, which held up better than trying to add a full curl in.
I lightly spritzed some hairspray through my hair to finish, and this held up well for a few hours, but I did experience some of the shape falling as the day went on. I've yet to use a hot-brush tool that does keep the shape in my hair all day long. I also tied my hair up into a bun later in the day and I was pleased to see that my hair retained its bounce after being up for a couple of hours. I find wearing my hair in a bun also helps to keep the style "memory" overnight too, so you can continue to enjoy bounce the next day.
The bottom line? If you want a more affordable hairstyling brush tool that gives you multiple styling options, then I would highly recommend it. I think those with shoulder-length hair or shorter will benefit most from the round brush tool, and all hair lengths will benefit from the smoothing and straightening brush attachments. Although it's more of an investment, the Dyson Airwrap is great for creating a range of styles.

The T3 wins for best blow-dryer brush overall because it strikes a really sweet spot-it’s half the price of some comparable dryers (like the Dyson!) and just as versatile. We were quite impressed with the tool’s styling prowess, too, whether using it as a blow-dry brush or a curling wand. Overall, it’s a fantastic value and beloved by several Glamour editors.
“Using this hair tool felt like a luxury experience, from unboxing to the actual styling. Compared with other dryers, it was relatively quiet. It comes in a beautiful hexagonal box that houses a pouch rather than a bulky, hard-to-store box. The tool is also one of the lighter options we tested, making it possible to style even long hair with little to no arm fatigue. I have very long, wavy hair, so I appreciated the size of the brush and the fact that it does a good job detangling as you work,” says Glamour contributor Brigitt Earley. “I was able to grab larger chunks of hair without sacrificing smooth, frizz-free results, allowing me to dry my hair much faster than I typically can with other hair dryers and dryer brushes I’ve tried.”
We’ve raved about Revlon’s One-Step Volumizer at length, and now the brand has a new iteration of the beloved hot tool to gush over. The new blow-dryer brush offers everything the OG did-plus a smaller handle, a smaller brush head to give you more control, and a fourth heat setting to suit a wider range of hair types. Earley put it to the test on her mid-back-length wavy hair and was impressed by what she saw in the mirror.
“I tried the original Revlon One-Step and loved it but was wary of how hot it got-even for my relatively thick hair,” she says. “This one didn’t singe the roots (or my forehead!) quite like the original but still left my hair incredibly smooth and shiny in only about 20 minutes, which is great considering how long my hair is,” says Earley.
“Other than my Dyson (which I do love for its versatility), this was my first experience with a blow-dryer brush, and I was super impressed. The GHD is very straightforward-a one-button push to turn on, then it heats in under a minute and takes my curly hair to blowout beautiful in 20 minutes. It’s easy to use, and the results speak for themselves. I do wish it was less heavy, as it becomes cumbersome to hold after a while, and that I could choose between heat settings. But overall, it’s a solid pick,” says Glamour commerce editor Malia Griggs.
Amika’s popular offering has staggered long and short bristles that make short work of flyaways and frizz, while the large oval brush delivers a mirrorlike finish every time. For customization, the brush also has three heat settings to suit various hair types, from fine to coarse. We also like that this blow-dryer brush was significantly quieter than some others we tried-great for those with roommates or snoozing kids.
Glamour commerce writer Alanna Martine Kilkeary is a massive fan of this brush because of the speed with which it allowed her to dry most of her hair. “This hot-air brush allowed me to dry my strands in about 20 minutes, which is a lot faster than how long it usually takes. It also made my hair look super silky and smooth-easy to run my fingers through and totally flyaway free.”
“I didn’t expect to love this little dry brush as much as I do. I have long, thick hair, and styling it can be such a long process. (My hair is almost at my butt at this point.) This tiny but mighty hair tool gave me sleek, straight hair in under 30 minutes. The red light isn’t super noticeable, but I know it’s working because it smooths my hair effortlessly. If you have lots of layers, bangs, or even short hair, you’ll love the volume and bounce that this tool will give you. I like to use it to style my front face layers. I tend to use it once my hair is air-dried after showering; just make sure to use heat protectant and styling creams to avoid frizziness,” says Glamour senior commerce editor Jenifer Calle.
“I was surprised by how quickly and how well this dried my long, coarse, and wavy hair,” says Earley. “The end result was smooth and silky-not all that different from my beloved straightener, but thankfully, so much better for my hair.” Glamour reviewer Anna Vognsen shares the sentiment. “I have wavy, thick hair and I was surprised by how much this cut my dry time. Traditionally a blow-dryer takes over 40 minutes, but I could go from wet to dry in 15 with this tool.”
“I’ve tried close to a dozen blow-dryer brushes over the years, and this one undoubtedly gives the best tension,” says Earley. “Just be sure to section your hair well-especially if you have wavy or curly hair. The trade-off is that hair occasionally gets a little tangled in the brush.”
“I love this blow-drying brush and styler because it’s probably one of the lightest hair tools in my collection (perfect for throwing in your carry-on or a duffle for when you’re on the go). It’s extremely user-friendly, and there are a ton of fan settings, so you can really customize whether you want a fast-drying sesh or to take your time with creating classic, blown-out waves. I used the round-brush attachment on my long hair and found that it dried quickly (it took about 20 minutes in total), and I love how glossy my strands looked after the fact. Something it did that I didn’t expect: It completely killed my frizz! My hair was soft and velvety, and had little flyaways compared with my usual frizz-ridden look. I’d highly recommend this one if drying your hair makes your hair frizzy; I was thoroughly impressed,” says Glamour’s Kilkeary.
“I expected there to be a bit of a learning curve, but even on my first use, it felt straightforward,” she says, noting she tried the tool to not only dry damp hair, as recommended, but also to refresh her hair on days two and three: “When I wake up, my hair is usually pretty flat against my head, and this is a great tool for adding volume back and flipping out the longer parts of my mini mullet around the nape of my neck,” says Gerber.

To maximize the benefits of a blow dryer comb, consider these tips:
I usually buy inexpensive hair dryers. I’ve had a few that have lasted several years, but the last one I bought died rather quickly. I finally said that’s it! I’m done with cheap hair dryers and invested in a better brand. After all, I use this appliance about every. single. I decided to try a Babyliss hair dryer. I have used this Hair Dryer about a month - so far, so good. It’s very powerful compared to hair dryers I’ve had in the past. So, I think it’s a tad faster at drying my hair. I seriously thought about buying this type of Hair Dryer but decided to go with a traditional one. I have heard good things about it. This Babyliss dryer has two heat settings and a cool setting. The lowest heat setting is a tad cooler than I’m used to, but maybe, that’s not all bad. How long it will last remains to be seen. I have high hopes that it will last a long time! While this new dryer does a pretty good job at smoothing out my hair without frizz, I find it’s important to use good hair products for that too. If needed, I will then use this Argon Oil that I love. It really nourishes the ends of my hair where it is dryer. It only take a few drops. So, it lasts a long time, and I only put it on the ends. I already have to wash my hair daily from working out, night sweats, and some oil buildup on my scalp.
