In the anime, her eyes are a light cerulean blue, complementing her pale skin. When she was younger she maintained her hair at chin length and two years later has again cut it to that length. She is very similar in appearance to her brother Kasper, although they are not twins.
Her attire is typically professional, favouring business suits or similar outfits, sometimes worn with neckties. She is also regularly seen wearing a large white coat with a feather-like collar, in which she hides numerous types of weaponry she uses whenever she deems necessary. She tends to burn when out in the sun, so Koko usually wears a broad-brimmed straw hat when outdoors for an extended period of time. She normally appears quite cheery and happy and sometimes acts immature when around her subordinates, having a tendency to throw fits when frustrated or angered. However, she is able to rebound quickly and rarely allows herself to remain stuck. Even when in dangerous situations, she is able to keep a clear head and actually smiles when she is in danger. Despite this cheerful facade, Koko is a complex individual who carefully guards her true feelings. R at one point commenting on how her constant smiling makes it hard to tell what she is thinking.
Koko can be crazed, ruthless and determined, making her a very dangerous opponent as she will not hesitate to use various means, including deadly force, to reach her ends. However, a single action or statement by her opponent can motivate her to display mercy towards them depending on the circumstances, and she has occasionally been willing to spare them. Koko is unafraid of weapons because she is in the business of selling them and believes that one should not fear one's merchandise. She has a fatalistic attitude towards her own death, feeling that unless it is her time to go, then she will escaped the situation unscathed. Koko is also very charismatic, a trait that she exhibited early when she impressed four older veteran soldiers (Lehm, Wiley, Echo, and Valmet) to leave the military and join her.

Beneath the Mask: It is very, very rare for Koko to be completely honest with her feelings to anyone, be that clients, her family, or her own team. Benevolent Boss: While this is discussed with Lehm in regards to loyalty when Valmet departs for her personal mission, overall Koko plays this trope unerringly straight; her bodyguards all respect her beyond that of a mere employer and she outright calls Valmet in particular a "sister, teacher, and more". She has a tendency to throw fits when frustrated or angered, though it is usually when she finds the matter to be of importance or relevance. However, she is able to rebound quickly and rarely allows herself to remain stuck. Even when in dangerous situations, she is able to keep a clear head and actually has the guts to smile when she is in danger.
Koko is also known for her quirks, such as her fondness for Coca Cola and her occasional Lady Drunk tendencies.
Having been trained in HCLI’s business from a young age, Koko became involved in arms dealing early, starting when she was a teenager. Despite her youth, she was allowed to operate on her own accompanied by her bodyguards. Although she did not receive a higher education her business sense and negotiating is top notch and she is a very successful arms dealer despite later growing to despise the business.
Koko has excellent instincts and has come to rely on them to see her and her squad through difficult situations. She is also able to quickly size up other people and tends to be spot on with her evaluations, sometimes even when she has not previously had the chance to research the other person’s background. She is generally calm when in danger due to the nature of her work, but can get unnerved when she is by herself and without her bodyguards nearby. She has an encyclopedic knowledge of weapons backed up by real world experience and is a hyperpolyglot, speaking several European languages as well as Arabic and Japanese. She is also a rather skilled marksman, which is no surprise with the amount of guns she carries on a daily basis, rarely ever missing her target, is talented at hand-to-hand, and her knife handling isn't too bad either. She is also well oriented with her laptop, from conducting business transactions to navigating a Sperwer B in combat.
While she typically directs her squad's actions, Koko also gives them a great deal of initiative, trusting in their skills and experience.

Koko is a member of HCLI's Europe/Africa Shipping Division, an organization run by her father, Floyd Hekmatyar. Known to the public as H&C Logistics Incorporated, it is a multinational company that operates primarily in the shipping industry. Unknown to the public (except for governments, criminals and "other groups"), HCLI operates in the arms trafficking business in providing weapons and needed equipment to its clients, depending on their needs. Koko and her brother, Kasper Sleipnir Hekmatyar, were born at sea due to the nature of their father's, Floyd Fenrir Hekmatyar, work and they thus lack any sense of patriotism to a specific country. They were both exposed since a young age to the business of the HCLI, a global company involved with shipping, logistics, and arms trade. The two of them have multiple passports and are used to traveling and working internationally.
Koko's ultimate goal is world peace, although her methods are far from conventional. She and her best friend Amada Minami, a robotics genius, realize her dream might become a possibility, and the two hatch a secret plan that motivated her action for the following years, to bring about what she calls "Jormungand": with the use of the Hek-GG network of 126 satellites and two quantum computers, its purpose is to end war and arms trade by closing off the skies for all air travel, and even the possibility of being adapted to denying sea and land travel as well if humanity was not completely discouraged from war.
Koko has a close relationship with her team of bodyguards, whom she considers family. These include Lehm, Valmet, Jonah, Wiley, Mao, and Ugo. Band of Brothers: Ultimately, they're all incredibly loyal to one another and to their teammates; Koko calls the team a family as Jonah is inducted.
Koko's charismatic and audacious demeanor has significantly contributed to her success in the highly competitive field of arms dealing, as well as fostering unwavering loyalty among her subordinates. Koko displays a profound sense of attachment to her professional entourage, exemplified by her willingness to deploy Jormungand for their protection. Her relationship with Jonah is particularly notable, as she views him as a younger sibling and expresses considerable affection towards him. Additionally, Valmet's feelings for Koko are evident, though the extent to which she reciprocates these sentiments remains uncertain.
Koko also has a complex relationship with her brother, Kasper, who works in HCLI's Asian Logistics Division. They often tease each other, but also care deeply for one another. Kasper both gives the impression of, and actually is, quite a bit more violent/creepy than his sister is.
